The colors remind me of lichen-covered rocks and late-summer woods, with those bright green flashes you find tucked among the muted earth tones. The textured knitting gives this hat a beautifully rustic, almost woodland feel, while the contrasting bands and stitch patterns add plenty of visual interest.
As with all my hats, it is hand knit by me from 100% wool sourced from thrift stores and closeout shops. I love giving beautiful yarn a second life, and the result is a hat that is truly one of a kind—there will never be another exactly like it.
